79 <br />Emergency Finance Board <br />STATE ROUSE, BOSTON <br />January <br />Twenty -Five <br />1961 <br />VOTED: To approve the project of the Construction of <br />an addition to the Davis Elementary School, including origi- <br />nal equipment and furnishings, for the Town of Mashpee, as <br />shown by the application of said Town, at a cost not to <br />exceed Two Hundred Twenty Six Thousand, Five Hundred <br />Sixty Dollars ($226,560.00), and to approve the application of <br />the Town of Mashpee for a Grant from the United States of <br />America, in accordance with the provisions of Public Law <br />815, enacted by the 81st Congress, as amended, in the amount <br />of Forty Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty Dollars ($47, <br />560.00) ; also to approve the borrowing by said Town of One <br />Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($120,000.00) in accord- <br />ance with the provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws: <br />and the sum of Thirty One Thousand Dollars ($31,000.00) in <br />accordance with the provisions of Chapter 645 of the Acts of <br />1948, as amended; and the use of Twenty Eight Thousand <br />Dollars ($28,000.00) transferred from available funds of the <br />Town as voted by the Special Town Meeting held on June 16, <br />1960. The proceeds of the Loans, Grant and sums transferred <br />are to be used for the purpose above stated as shown in the <br />application. Any money received by the Town of Mashpee <br />by way of Grants shall be applied to the cost of said project, <br />or, in case the amount of the loans authorized are in excess <br />of the Town's share of the cost, it shall be applied to the <br />loans herein authorized to the extent of such excess, or the <br />amount to be borrowed shall be reduced by the amount of <br />such excess. <br />
