<br />At the close of the year we are extending assistance to
<br />8 Old Age Assistance, 3 Medical Assistance, 3 Disability As-
<br />sistance, 4 Aid to Families with Dependent Children and 1
<br />General Relief for a total of 19 cases.
<br />We note with satisfaction that the Town will receive ser-
<br />vice from the District Nursing Association during the forth-
<br />coming year. This nursing service shall have our full coopera-
<br />tion.
<br />During the past year the reports required by the Massa-
<br />chusetts Department of Public Welfare for the U. S. Depart-
<br />ment of Health, Welfare and Education have increased in
<br />number and have become increasingly complex in content.
<br />With the assistance of Mrs. Ida D. O'Brien, our statutory and
<br />social service responsibilities have been fulfilled. The assist-
<br />ance and efficiency of Mrs. O'Brien is acknowledged.
<br />We express our thanks for the cooperation of the Select-
<br />men, the Town Treasurer and the Town Accountant.
