103 <br /> Article 54. To see what is the consensus of this Town <br /> Meeting in regard to the filing of a bill in the Legislature <br /> to retain the Mashpee Advisory Commission. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded to show (by vote) <br /> that we wish to retain Mashpee Advisory Commission. Voted <br /> 35 for, 53 opposed. <br /> Article 55. To see if the Town will vote to amend Arti- <br /> cle IX, Town Contracts, of the By-Laws to read: "Section 2, <br /> All capital expenditures purchases (i.e. desks, chairs, type- <br /> writers, cabinets, etc.) of $50.00 or more will be submitted to <br /> the Boaxd of Selectmen for approval before the purchase is <br /> consumated," or take !any other action thereon. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as <br /> read. Voted unanimously. <br /> Article 56. To see whether the Town will vote to amend <br /> the Town By-Laws by adding to Chapter II, Article 2, the <br /> following: <br /> Section 2. Beginning in the year 1969, the office of <br /> the Treasurer and Tax Collector shall run for coterminous <br /> terms, and the term of the treasurer elected in 1969 shall <br /> end in 1971. Thereafter,the term of the offices of the Tax <br /> Collector and Treasurer, shall be for three years. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as <br /> read. Voted unanimously. <br /> Article 57. To see if the Town will vote to amend Chap- <br /> ter III, Section 3 of the By-Laws of the Town of Mashpee <br /> by deleting said Section 3 and inserting in its place the <br /> following: <br /> Trailers may be parked throughout the Town subject <br /> to the following regulations. For the purpose of the by- <br /> law"Trailer" is defined as follows: any of the various types <br /> Of towed vehicles used for human habitation or for busi- <br /> ness purposes or adapted from such vehicles, but excluding <br /> vehicles used only for the transportation of materials, <br /> Products or animals. <br /> No person shall park, store, or occupy a- trailer for <br /> living or business purposes except: <br /> i <br />
