75
Cemetery Commissioners' Report
To the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee
The Cemetery Commissioners submit the following re-
port.
Another year has passed and with it, many hours of in-
dustrious labor spent in the cemetery. This year as in the
past, our greatest problem is lack of help to work at the
cemetery, but the few who were willing to work did so, very
diligently and long to get the job done.
Many stones and markers were cleaned, all grass lots G.
were mowed at least twelve times during the year, shrubbery
and trees were pruned and branches removed. j
With approximately six acres of land now being used,
it is very difficult to maintain the cemetery without water, ;I
so in the very near future we are going to ask to have a
water system installed. i
We are proud of the appearance of our cemetery and
hope the voters in the town will permit us to continue to
give them the care respect commands.
The general work will go along as in the past and im-
provements will be made according to our budget. yj
Respectfully submitted,
LEIGH N.
