79 <br /> Warrant for Annual Town Meeting <br /> MARCH 3, 1969 <br /> THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br /> BARNSTABLE, SS: <br /> To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, <br /> r you are hereby directed to notify :and summons the inhabi- <br /> tants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in <br /> the elections, to meet at the Town Hall on Monday, the 3rd <br /> day of March, 1969, at seven o'clock p.m., for the following <br /> purposes: "I <br /> A quorum was present and the meeting opened at 7:30 <br /> p.m. Pledge Allegiance to the Flag was delivered by Sgt. i <br /> Gonsalves. Prayer was delivered by the Rev. Bravell Dodd. <br /> selectman Frank E. Hicks offered their appreciation to <br /> Selectman Leo C. Sweeney as follows: <br /> WHEREAS Mr. Leo C. Sweeney is concluding his tenure as <br /> Selectman for the Town of Mashpee <br /> i <br /> AND WHEREAS during his years as our Selectman (1964- <br /> 1969) he has instituted many changes and innovations <br /> resulting in added beauty, safety, and richer living for <br /> the Town and all its inhabitants, and concurred in <br /> others; <br /> AND WHEREAS his tenure in office has been marked by <br /> dedicated, concerned service to the Town and all its <br /> people; <br /> NOW BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: That this Town Meet- <br /> ing express its appreciation to Mr. Sweeney by a Rising <br /> vote of thanks; that this action be entered into the min- <br /> utes of this meeting; and a copy of this resolution be <br /> suitably executed and presented to him as a permanent <br /> record of our regard.
