84 <br /> Warrant for Special Town Meeting <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> August 4, 1971 <br /> BARNSTABLE SS. <br /> To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee GREETINGS: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you <br /> are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants <br /> of the Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the <br /> elections, to meet at Town Hall on Wednesday, August 4, <br /> 1971, at 7:30 p.m. to act on the articles contained in the <br /> Il' following warrant: <br /> The meeting was opened at 8:50 p.m. by Moderator, <br /> William Mills. Registered voters present at the beginning of <br /> the meeting were 92. The number later was counted as 129. <br /> Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate or transfer from available funds, the sum of <br /> .i $2,183.03, this amount to be used to refund to the Town <br /> employees deductions for Blue Cross and Group Insurance <br /> made in 1970 in excess of amounts which should have been <br /> !I' deducted under vote of the Town at March, 1970, Town Meet- <br /> ing, wherein the Town assumed 3/4 of the cost of Blue Cross <br /> l <br /> and Group Insurance coverage. <br /> i <br /> Action: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise <br /> and appropriate the sum of $2,183.03. A unanimous vote. <br /> Article 2: To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate or take from available funds the amount of <br /> ' $597.00. This amount to be used to pay unpaid bills of 1970: <br /> Election & Registration Expense $125.00 <br /> Park & Recreation Expense 460.00 <br /> Dr. Edward Fitch 12.00 <br /> $597.00 <br /> Action: Motion duly made and seconded article be <br /> amended to read: To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate the:amount of $585.00.
