11 <br /> business concerns who have given 'so unstintingly of their time, <br /> labor, plans and materials to make this project a dream come true. <br /> This year we will ask you to consider a revolutionary ap- <br /> proach to solid waste disposal. We feel your acceptance of pro- <br /> posals which have been and will be still further presented and dis- <br /> cussed will again put Mashpee in the forefront of doing its part <br /> in confronting one of the gravest environmental problems of the <br /> times. We urge all our citizens to give this proposal your full and <br /> complete support. <br /> Among other advances: creation of a Regional School District <br /> Committee to look into the Town's educational problems; transfer <br /> of control of our wetlands to our Conservation Committee-ane. <br /> triumph for home rule; purchases of 2 new police cruisers; new <br /> vehicles for the highway department; transfer of town-owned lands <br /> to the Conservation Commission for a town forest; installation of <br /> the five foot fence around the ball field; and other areas of satis- <br /> factory progress too numerous to mention here. <br /> Your Board sincerely wishes to thank each and every one, <br /> individually and collectively, for a year of progress and achieve <br /> meat of which we all may be proud. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> KEVIN D.
