50 <br /> Report of the Personnel Board <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the <br /> i <br /> Citizens of the Town of Mashpee <br /> The cooperation of the Selectmen, Finance Committee, <br /> Department Heads, Employees and the Voters for the Year <br /> 1973 was greatly appreciated and again, was the key to a sue- <br /> cessful year for the Personnel Board. <br /> j <br /> The following are the highlights: <br /> 1. The Salary Administration Plan, adopted by the Town <br /> at its Annual Meeting in March 1970, was amended <br /> in order that town employees would receive increased <br /> benefits and wages comparable to other Cape towns. <br /> 2. Messrs. Clendenin, Cuthbert, Hurlbert, Malone and <br /> Mills were appointed to the Personnel Board and <br /> there were five resignations. <br /> - 3. The Board acted under the "Grievance Procedures" <br /> for nine employees. <br /> 4. There were four suspensions of employees and twelve <br /> resignations were accepted. <br /> 5. Thirty-seven applicants were interviewed for various <br /> positions which resulted in three new part-time em- <br /> ployees and six full time. <br /> 6. A total of thirty-four regular meetings and four spe- <br /> cials were held with three additional meetings each <br /> j with the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> 1 PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> William S.
