To see if the Town will vote to amend the <br /> Zoning By-Law by adding the following thereto, said amend- <br /> ment to take effect only upon the effective date of Massa- <br /> chusetts House Bill No. 7506, entitled "An Act Relative to <br /> Certain Self-Contained Retirement Communities": <br /> 9.5 Planned Retirement Community <br /> It having been determined that there is a need within <br /> the Town of Mashpee for Planned Retirement Communities <br /> which would be designed to meet the special needs and <br /> habits of older people, with sufficient safe-guards to guaran <br /> tee the proper maintenance of the Planned Retirement Corn-!, <br /> munity upon its completion, therefore: <br /> A Planned Retirement Community (hereinafter .some <br /> times called a "PRC") is hereby defined as a self-contained <br /> retirement community constructed expressly for.use by the <br /> elderly and which has a minimum age requirement for.resi- <br /> dency of at least fifty-five (55) years. Any provisions of <br /> Section 7 of this By-Law to the contrary notwithstanding, <br /> a Planned Retirement Community shall be allowed in R-1. <br /> and R-2 zoning-districts in. accordance with the .following <br /> procedures and standards. <br />
