74 <br /> Article 58. In the event the Town meeting forum does <br /> not vote to maintain and operate the Mashpee Wampanoag <br /> Indian Museum adequately or vote to pay the necessary <br /> ;j staff for purposes of year round operation, the following is <br /> proposed: <br /> To see if the Town will vote to transfer ownership of the <br /> Museum and property to the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian <br /> Tribal Council, or take any other action thereon. Submitted <br /> by Mashpee Historical Commission. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded that Article 58 be <br /> I i <br /> tabled. Unanimously voted. <br /> Article 59. To see if the Town will vote to establish a <br /> Comprehensive Plan Review Commission consisting of a rep- <br /> resentative from each of the following: Planning Board; <br /> Conservation Commission; Taxpayers' Association; Health <br /> Department; Peninsula Council of New Seabury; Waterways <br /> Committee; Ashumet-John's Pond Association; Briarwood <br /> Association; S.A.V.E. of New Seabury; Mashpee Wampanoag <br /> Indian Council, said Commission to undertake an immediate <br /> study of the social, economic and ecological consequences of <br /> lj <br /> the accelerating increase and concentration of land develop- <br /> ment and building construction in the Town of Mashpee in <br /> terms of the health, safety,et convenience, morals and welfare <br /> of the Town of Mashpee, and shall in connection therewith <br /> consider the following aspects of Town Growth and develop- <br /> ment <br /> evelop- <br /> ment among other pertinent aspects, and without limiting <br /> the generality thereof: Population saturation point, remedial <br /> zoning, economic impact of controlled or unlimited growth, <br /> conservation imperatives, and Town policies vis-a-vis hous- <br /> ing, recreation, welfare, health, education, minorities, em- <br /> ployment, elderly, youth and maintenance of traditional <br /> Town values. <br /> The said Commission shall issue a report making such <br /> recommendations and submitting such articles for the Town <br /> Warrant and for vote and approval of the Town Meeting as <br /> said Commission may, in its wisdom, see fit, and to issue said <br /> report not later than February 28, 1975. <br /> The said Commission shall hold its first meeting at the <br /> Town Hall at eight o'clock in the evening on the third Tues- <br /> day of the month following approval of this by-law by the <br /> Attorney General, and the said meeting shall be for organiz- <br /> ational purposes and to elect such permanent officers as they <br /> shall deem necessary for the conduct of their business.
