To see if the Town will vote to approve the <br /> submittal of the names of the following ponds, located in <br /> whole or part within the Town of Mashpee, to the Depart- <br /> ment of Public Works, Division of Waterways, with a request <br /> for surveys leading to the determination of the aforemen- <br /> tioned ponds as Great Ponds in accordance with the provi- <br /> sions of Chapter 28 of the Resolves of 1951. Ames Pond, Dean <br /> Pond, Flat Pond, Flashy Pond, Hamblin Pond, Jehu Pond, <br /> Jim Pond, Johns Pond, Martha Pond, Mashpee-Wakeby Pond, <br /> Old Barnstable Road Pond (also known as Lakeside Trailer <br /> Pond), Pine Tree Corner Pond (also known as Mashpee Circle <br /> Pond), Moody Pond, Sagelot Pond, Santuit Pond, and Tim <br /> Pond (also known as Cataquin Pond). <br /> Submitted by Conservation Commission. <br /> Action: Moved and seconded that Article 65 be accepted <br /> as submitted. So voted. <br /> Article 66. To see if the Town will vote to abandon the <br /> following roads or ancient ways, so called; that portion of <br /> Simons Narrows Road which begins on the southerly side of <br /> Route 28 and runs southerly and southeasterly over lands <br /> now or formerly of J.R.U. Realty, Inc., over the Cape and <br /> Vineyard Right of Way, across portions of land shown on <br /> "Plan of Land in East Mashpee, Mass., Cotuit Corners. Date: <br /> Dec. 4, 1970, Charles N. Savery Inc., Registered Engineers <br /> Surveyors" to the northerly line of Quinaquisset Avenue; also <br /> that portion of Wickams Road, so called, which runs north- <br /> easterly from said Simons Narrows Road and at the inter- <br /> section of Brewster Road and Chatham Road, all as shown <br /> on said plan referred to as "Cotuit Corners" to a point on the <br /> westerly line of Strawberry Lane, or take any other action <br /> thereon.
