ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT MAY 12, 1975 <br /> Barnstable, ss: <br /> To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to <br /> notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified <br /> to vote in the elections, to meet at the Town Hall on Monday, the 12 th day of <br /> May 1975, at seven o'clock p.m., for the following purposes: <br /> To act on the Articles contained in the warrant. To meet at the Town Hall <br /> the following Wednesday, May 14, 1975, to bring in their votes for the election <br /> of the following officers: <br /> One Selectmen for three years. <br /> One Assessor member for three years. <br /> One Town Clerk for three years. <br /> One Planning Boardmember for five years. <br /> One Planning Board member for two years, unexpired term. <br /> One Library Trustee for three years. <br /> One School Committee member for three years. <br /> One Board of Health Member for three years. <br /> The polls will be open at 10:00 o'clock a.m. and will be closed at 8:00 <br /> o'clock p.m. <br /> Moderator Peter M. Lawrence called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. <br /> There was 285 voters present, constituting a quorum. <br /> Reverend Davies blessed the meeting with a prayer. <br /> Tellers were: Eleanor M. Peters, Mary H. Potter, Marie A. Fitzgerald, <br /> and Patricia Cooper. <br /> Article 1: To choose all necessary town officials who are not elected under <br /> the Australian ballot system. <br /> Burial Agent <br /> Herring Warden <br /> Harbor Master <br /> Finance Committee Members - three for 3 years <br /> ACTION: Burial Agent ------Oliver Pocknett <br /> Herring Warden----Warren M. Hicks <br /> Harbor Master-----Gordon W. Crowell <br /> Finance Committee ------ Walter F. Hurlburt <br /> Thomas E. Gillis <br /> Robert W. Bright <br /> Motion made and seconded to accept nominated members. A unanimous vote. <br /> Article 2: To see if the Town will vote to accept the Town Officers' Reports <br /> or take any other action thereon. <br /> ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded.that Article 2 be tabled. So voted. <br /> k <br /> Article 3: To see if the Town will hear and act upon the reports of any <br /> Committee for any purpose the Town may deem advisable. <br /> ACTION: Selectmen Randolph G. Peters offered an humanitarian certificate to <br /> Miss Norma Dias for nursing an injured goose back to health.
