In addition to the programs that were offered, the
Leisure Services Department, and the Department of
Public Works have worked cooperatively to make some
very needed and successful improvements to the recrea-
tional areas of Mashpee. These improvements are as
follows:
Development of a new Little League Field at
Heritage Park
Acquisition of new grills and picnic tables for
Attaquin Park
Installation of playground equipment and park-
ing lot drainage at Attaquin Park
Installation of shuffle board courts at the
Senior Citizens Center
The Summer of 1990 was a very successful operation.
For the first time, beach parking permits were sold from
the Town Clerk's Office, which resulted in a very effi—
cient and well organized process. Mashpee's beaches were
once again a very popular and heavily used recreation
area of the Town. Many thanks go to the beach staff for
providing a safe and enjoyable summer.
The Leisure Services Department would like to take this
opportunity to thank the following for their support and
assistance in providing the Town with a variety of leisure
programs: Department of Public Works, Fire Depart-
ment, Police Department, Mashpee Little League,
Mashpee Youth Soccer, Friends of Mashpee Youth,
Mashpee Commons, and all of the individuals who have
volunteered to assist in conducting special events. I would
also like to thank the staff of the Leisure Services Depart-
ment who have helped make this year a success. They
