green infrastructure, water quality and stormwater infrastructure. Mr. Lehrer reported that Mashpee <br /> was pursuing two grants. Mashpee was submitting an application to the MVP Action Grant to address <br /> external nutrient loading in Santuit Pond,to include stormwater measures and habitat restoration. The <br /> BOS approved the application and matching fields to support the grant. An application was being <br /> submitted to Coastal Zone Management (CZM) for a nourishment project at Popponesset Spit, which <br /> had previously gone unfunded by the Seaport Economic Council, though recommended by the State. <br /> The BOS approved this application and Save Popponesset Bay would provide the 25% required match. <br /> Mr. Lehrer noted that the State typically did not support more than two applications per year, so <br /> additional ideas would be generated for consideration next year. Mr. Rowley inquired whether the <br /> projects would be subject to ConsCom approval and Mr. Lehrer responded that it may depend upon the <br /> findings, and Save Popponesset Bay or Town permits. Mr. Rowley suggested that noticing may be <br /> necessary, even if under a certain permit. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Pierce Atwood, SouthCape Village Special Permit Notice of Intention to Sell Property and <br /> Transfer Special Permit-Mr. Lehrer reported that he had received communication regarding a <br /> possible sale of SouthCape Village, adding that, according to the Special Permit, it was necessary for <br /> the matter to be reviewed by the Planning Board. Mr. Lehrer stated that there was a 90 day window, <br /> which had not yet lapsed, but notification was received just prior to the onset of the pandemic. There <br /> was discussion about prior situations when the new owner consulted with the Planning Board. There <br /> was no information regarding whether or not a closing date had been set and there was interest in <br /> inviting them to attend the next meeting. Mr. Lehrer indicated that he would follow up with the buyer. <br /> There was consensus from the Board to allow them to close prior to the 90 day notice, but a desire to <br /> have them attend a Plamiing Board meeting for further discussion about the Special Permit,plans for <br /> the undeveloped parcels, time frame and the importance of managing the wastewater system. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion that the Planning Board would allow a closing prior to <br /> the completion of the 90 day notice. Mr. Callahan seconded the motion.
