49 <br /> and at that time the members of the Legislature agreed to <br /> favor the passing of the bill which reads as follows: <br /> Chapter 169 <br /> THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, IN THE <br /> YEAR ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FOUR <br /> I AN ACT authorizing the Town of Mashpee to sell and convey <br /> e a portion of certain land held by it for park purposes. <br />'t Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives <br /> s in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, <br /> s as follows: SECTION 1. Subject to the <br /> t J approval of the <br /> Mashpee Advisory Commission, the town of Mashpee, by its <br /> e board of selectmen, may sell and convey to Mashpee Post <br /> s No. 262, American Legion, for a nominal sum, and under <br /> s such terms and conditions as it may y impose, free and clear <br /> from any obligations to use the same for park purposes, a cer- <br /> s tain parcel of land situated in said town, and more <br /> s Parti- <br /> s <br /> cularly bounded and described as follows:—Beginning at a <br /> point at the southwesterly corner of land now owned by the <br /> s town of Mashpee, (being Parcel No. 1, so called, on a "Plan of <br /> Land in Mashpee-Barnstable-Massachusetts, belonging to the <br /> Town of Mashpee" by Charles N. Savery, C.E., dated Decem- <br /> ber 1951 and revised March 1953.) the said point being 40 feet <br /> e northerly of a point standing in a northerly line of the land <br /> of Hotel Attaquin Inc; thence northerly 290 20' 10" east, a <br /> S distance of 150 feet to a point; then southerly 600 39'50" east, <br />' a distance of 100 feet to a point; thence southerly 290 20' 10" <br /> west, a distance of 150 feet to a point; thence northerly <br /> 600 39'50" west, a distance of 100 feet, to a place of beginning; <br /> the said Parcel No. 1 comprising approximately 0.34 acres. In <br /> e addition, a right of way beginning at a C.B. standing the <br /> easterly line of Lake Avenue and the northerly line of land of <br /> e Nina L. Wynn,Y (as shown on a "Plan of Land in Mashpee- <br /> Barnstable-Massachusetts, belonging to the Town of Mashpee" <br /> by Charles N.
