57 Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of $250.00 to be paid for a free bed in the Cape Cod-Hospital in accordance with Sec. 74 of Chap. 111 of the General Laws, or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept the article as read. Unanimous vote. Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for support of school and State Aided Vocational Guidance, or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept the article as read. Unanimous vote. Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of $100.00 for unpaid bills or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept the article as read. Unanimous vote. Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to fix the Salaries of the elective officers or take any other action thereon. Moderator $30.00; Selectmen—Chm. $775.00; other mem- bers $725.00 each; Assessors—Chm. $875.00; other members $550.00 each; Tax Collector $1,300.00; Treasurer $550.00; Town Clerk $400.00; School Committee $25.00 each; Highway Sur- veyor $1.75 per hour; Cemetery Commissioner $1.75 per hour; Police and Town labor $1.25 per hour. These salaries shall be retroactive as of January 1, 1954. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept the article with the necessary correction of the Town Clerk's salary.
