To see if the Town will vote to request the <br /> 1 Selectmen that no "off-premise" sign permits will be issued <br /> for such signs to be on Town Ways except when actual hard- <br />' ship has been proved and authorized by the Selectmen to <br /> erect, where needed, directional and street identification <br /> signs that will be similar to the signs now used by the Massa- <br /> chusetts Department of Public Works, and to see what sum <br /> of money the Town will raise and appropriate for this purpose. <br /> Action: Voted to accept Article 40 with the stipulation <br /> that the part where a sum of money was to be raised is to be <br /> stricken out. <br /> Voted. <br /> Article 41. To see if the Town will vote to accept a <br /> by-law regulating and restricting the height of structures <br /> or objects of natural growth in the vicinity of Otis Air Force <br /> Base by the creation of airport approach protection regu- <br /> lations and establishing the boundaries thereof. <br /> Action: Voted; 49 for, none opposed. <br /> Article 42. To act on any other business that may le- <br /> gally come before said.meeting. <br /> Upon a motion of Mr. Carl A. Avant, it was voted that a <br /> letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Kenneth Van Buren for <br /> the map he gave the Assessors for the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Voted. <br /> A motion was made by Selectmen William W. Mills to <br /> change the Annual Town Meeting to the first Monday in <br /> March, and the election on the Wednesday following, if it is <br /> i, <br /> legal to do so under this article. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to <br /> ' accept the article as read.
