l � <br /> 73 i ~t <br /> Report of Special Town Meeting <br /> June 18, 1959 <br /> BARNSTABLE,SS: To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee; <br /> GREETING: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you <br /> are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of <br /> the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elec- <br /> tions, to meet at the Town Hall on Thursday, 18th day of <br /> June, 1959 at seven o'clock p.m. for the following purposes: <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following warrant: <br /> Constable Frederick Peters delivered the warrant to Town <br /> Clerk, Elwood O. Mills at six forty five p.m. <br /> Moderator, Theresa Barco Johnson presided at the meet- <br /> ing. <br /> The meeting was opended by everyone saying the Lord's <br /> Prayer, <br /> Tellers were Mrs. Adeline Hicks and Mrs. Auree Avant. <br /> There were fifty one registered voters present at the r. <br /> opening of the meeting. <br /> I <br /> Article 1. To see if the Town will accept the layout of a <br /> Town Way known as Mashpee Neck Road, extending from the <br /> Old Cotuit Road to the Town Landing at the Cherry Tree, so <br /> called, as laid out by the Selectmen on the seven page plan <br /> entitled, "Town of Mashpee, Plan of Mashpee Neck Road, s <br /> Dated 16 December 1958, and on file in the office of the Town <br /> Clerk and authorize the Selectmen to acquire such rights, , <br /> titles and easements as may be necessary to accomplish said <br /> purposes and to see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sufficient sum of money to pay for such improvements and for <br /> land damages if any, or take any other action thereon. <br /> Action` It was amended to read: to appropriate $1.00 <br /> from available funds. 37 for, 0 opposed. <br /> I� <br />
