To see if the Town will vote to choose by bal- lot, beginning with the annual election in March of 1960' a Planning Board to consist of five members, under the provi- sions of General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 81A; provided that at the 1960 election, members of the Planning Board shall be elected, one for a term of five years, one for a term of four years, one for a term of three years, one for a term of two years, and one for a term of one year, each subsequent annual election to choose one member for a term of five years. The powers and duties of such board shall be such as are stated in General Laws, Chapter 41, Sections 81B to 81J, inclusive, and Section 81Q; and further, to consider and advise upon municipal improvements, at the request of other town offi- cials, departments, boards, or committees, or upon its own initiative or take any other action thereon. To see if the Town will vote to request the Selectmen to appoint a committee of five (5) members to further the study of an appropriate Zoning By-Law for the town; these studies to be presented to the Selectmen in con- junction with previous recommendations presented to the Board in 1957, or take any other action thereon.
