Also dur- <br /> Certificates of occupancy issued were 375 ing this month the Massachusetts Municipal <br /> Association selected the Town of Mashpee for one of <br /> four Kenneth E. Pickard Municipal Innovation <br /> Report of the Awards. The award recognizes municipalities that <br /> Sealer of Weights and Measures have developed unique and creative projects or pro <br /> grams to increase the effectiveness of local govern- <br /> ment. The MMA recognized Mashpee for the Animal <br /> Control Department's Community access television <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the program"Give Us Shelter." I am the host of the show <br /> Citizens of the Town of Mashpee and my husband, Michael, is the producer. The show <br /> finds homes for lost and abandoned cats and kittens <br /> Herewith is my 2000 Annual Report for the test- <br /> processed by the town. The cats featured on the show <br /> ing and sealing of weighing and measuring devices are given temporary housing and medical care by a <br /> conducted in the Town of Mashpee in accordance with charitable organization,Cats Lost and Wanting Shelter <br /> the laws of the Commonwealth.
