Baker "` E Department watched the events of the day unfold Fire Chief while preparing for what ever was to come next. As our country went to war against terrorism we feared 1 that the front line of this battle would continue to c spread to other cities and regions. The days to follow brought changes in security, response staffing and for c a few weeks, multiple responses to suspicious chemi- cals. Many of these changes have become a permanent c alteration to our operations. As a community we collectively mourned the loss of those who died on the 11th at a service held at 1 the fire and police complex in September. It was com- forting for me to see such a large group gather to prayx� *F for all those whose lives were effected by this terrible act of violence. Thank you. Thank you to the administration, department heads and the members of each and every Town Department. Your support and assistance is critical for us to complete our mission.
