Whether serving on the Board,researching , <br /> Zoning laws or volunteering at Town elections,he can <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and Citizens be counted on to bring his enthusiasm to the task. <br /> of the Town of Mashpee: <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals thanks the other <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals is appointed by Town Boards,Departments,Commissions and Agents <br /> the Selectmen and acts under the authority of Chapters for their outstanding cooperation. <br /> 40A and 40B of the Massachusetts General Laws and <br /> the Zoning By-laws of the Town of Mashpee. The Meetings of the Zoning Board of Appeals are <br /> Zoning Board of Appeals has the following powers: held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each <br /> month at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. These meetings <br /> 1. To hear and decide Appeals in accordance are open to the public. <br /> with Chapter 40A Section 8. <br /> 2. Hinden,Associate Board Member <br /> with Chapter 40A Sections 13 and 14. Ronald S. Bonvie,Associate Board Member <br /> 5. To hear and decide on Petitions for <br /> Comprehensive Permits under Massachusetts <br /> General Law Chapter 40B. <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals heard a total of 45 <br /> petitions in calendar year 2010. Petition and abutter <br /> fees in the amount of $8,543.00 were collected in <br /> 2010. <br /> The Board welcomed Ronald S. Bonvie as <br /> Associate Board Member in February. <br /> In spite of the slow economy, two of the Special <br /> Permits granted by the Board during 2010 will bring <br /> business and revenue to the Town: First Citizens' <br /> Federal Credit Union and Capewide Enterprises,LLC. <br /> The Board was also pleased to grant <br /> Comprehensive Permits under M.G.L. Chapter 40B to <br /> Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod,Inc. and Mashpee <br /> Housing Authority. This will allow for construction of <br /> much needed, affordable housing for deserving fami- <br /> lies. <br /> The Board expresses its gratitude to Attorney <br /> Jason Talerman and Engineer Charles L. Rowley for <br /> their expertise and guidance through the permitting <br /> process of these Petitions. <br /> 144 <br />
