1 <br /> Over 200 volunteers at Coombs have had a workshopseries <br /> with various parenting specialists who <br /> meaningful,positive impact on our school community. shared their wisdom on many typical parenting <br /> Parents,grandparents, senior citizens, high school and challenges faced by parents daily. Many families <br /> college students all have joined our school to increase benefited from the literacy programs for babies and <br /> opportunities for learning daily. They have assisted toddlers she co-sponsored with the Mashpee Public <br /> teachers by copying, reading with students, engaging Library. Through the CFCE Grant, Julie coordinated <br /> in math games with groups of children and providing regular science,music,and cultural events for children <br /> enrichment programs. In addition they have assisted preschool through age eight. <br /> with many special programs such as the annual Jump <br /> Rope for Heart fundraiser, Field Day, and"Let's Fly a The Coombs School sponsored many Countdown <br /> Kite Day". They worked with the artist-in-residence, to Kindergarten activities through the Quality Full-Day <br /> Kathryn Olson. This years'artist coordinated a project Kindergarten Grant such as Coffee and Chat for <br /> to create the stunning "Cape Cod Wildlife" tile mural incoming families as well as several parent(child <br /> which graces the wall outside the guidance suite at workshops throughout the school year.This grant also <br /> Coombs. provided funding for kindergarten classroom <br /> paraprofessionals.
