Submitted by Petition Explanation: This article would authorize the Board of Selectmen to purchase, on behalf of the Conservation Commission, 16 parcels amounting to 38 acres located between Algonquin Avenue, Old Barnstable Road and Nathan Ellis Highway, which is adjacent to existing town held land & crucial wildlife corridor. The purchase would be paid for with funds from the Conservation Commission's Acquisition of Lands and Maintenance Account with potential re- imbursement from the Massachusetts Water Conservation grants. The Board of Selectmen does not recommend approval by a vote of 4-0, one absent. The Finance Committee does not recommend approval by a vote of 6-0, one absent.
