The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 6-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Don Myers. <br /> Motion: I move Article 13 be voted as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the phrase, <br /> "or take any other action relating thereto". <br /> .Motion passes at 8:33PM. <br /> Article 14 <br /> To see if the Town of Mashpee will vote to amend to the General Code, Chapter 79-4, Collection <br /> of Sum for Upkeep by Town by deleting the paragraph in its entirety and replace it with the <br /> following, or take any other action relating thereto; <br /> i <br /> §79-4. Collection of Sum for Upkeep by Town. The Animal Control <br /> Officer having custody of a dog confined under this chapter shall charge a <br /> daily fee to be determined by the Board of Selectmen for each day of <br /> confinement for the care of such dog, payable by the owner or keeper <br /> thereof. Any sums so collected shall be paid over to the Treasurer or the <br /> Town pursuant to M.G.L. C. 44, §53. <br /> Submitted by the Police Chief <br /> Explanation: This proposed Warrant Article would provide for an update of the Town of <br /> Mashpee Bylaw #79-4, Collection of Sum e or Upkeep by Town. The minor change requested to <br /> this bylaw would enable the Board of Selectmen to set the daily fee rather than the fee being set <br /> at Town Meeting.
