Explanation: This article is necessary to fund the settlement award for the Patrolmen's Contract the total <br />of which was $172,877. To fund this article $40,000 will be transferred from the Selectmen Salary/Wage <br />Account; $82,877 funded through Free Cash and $50,000 will be funded using existing funds in the <br />FY2010 Police Salary/Wage Account. The yearly cost breakdown is as follows: <br />FY08 $33.00 <br />FY09 $63,495.00 <br />FY10 $109,349.00 <br />The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br />Motion made by Selectman Theresa Cook. <br />Motion: I move that the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $82,877 from Revenue Available for <br />Appropriation and $40,000 from the Selectmen Salary/Wage Account to the Police Salary/Wage Account. <br />Motion passes unanimously at 7:21 PM. <br />Article 3 <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer $53,000 from the Public Works Salary/Wage <br />Account to the Snow & Ice Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br />Submitted by the Department of Public Works <br />Explanation: This article is necessary to fund a deficit in the Snow & Ice Account.
