We have not heard back from
Mashpee Village, and Mashpee Commons might still be a possibility.
Regarding renewals from current gardeners, the rules and regulations state those renewing must have
the application and fee turned in by March l't each year to keep their plot. Ms. Scharfenberg has spoken
with other towns, and a lot require applications and fees to be turned in by December 31". The group
discussed and would be interested in moving the renewal date for current gardeners up to January 15"'
each year.
The current waitlist for 2021 is at 7 people. Andy Gottlieb told Ms. Scharfenberg that the next round of
applications for CPA Funds is early next year, but that would be for the Fall Town Meeting. It's
probably not realistic to expand and have more plots for next year.
Ms. Scharfenberg spoke with Rose DiGregorio again about Black Earth Compost. They hope to speak
with Black Earth by January to gather more information to bring to the meeting.
1
