Official notice of violations and time allowed for <br /> correction shall be given in writing by the Town of Mashpee. <br /> 1. By deleting the existing Section 174-56, then renumbering 174,-57 to 174-56. <br /> Explanation: Mashpee's Zoning By-law has Article XVIII called "Enforcement and Penalties," <br /> which outlines the procedures for the Building Inspector to follow. It also provides a penalty of <br /> $300 per day, which is inconsistent with the current sign article. The deletion of this section <br /> will allow Article XVIII to apply to the sign article as it does to the rest of Mashpee's Zoning <br /> By-law. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This Article seeks to update and improve the Town's, sign code. <br /> Planning Board recommends, app�roval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> Motion:� I move the Town vote to amend the Zoning By-Law as printed in the warrant except <br /> for the phrase "or take any other action relating thereto". <br /> Motion to amend by Tana Watt. <br /> Motion- 1. To delete Warrant Article 38, Section C as it appears on page 43 of the Warrant so <br /> that our by-law retains Section 174-52G as currently in effect which section reads "Window <br /> neon signs advertising products are not permitted. <br /> 2. To delete Warrant Article 38, Section P(I) as it appears on page 50 of the Warrant so that our <br /> by-law retains Section 174-55F(l) as currently in effect, which section reads: "No sign shall be <br /> intermittently illuminated nor of a traveling light, animated or flashing light type. No exposed <br /> neon-type signs shall be permitted in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> 3. To delete Warrant Article 38, Section P(II) as it appears on pages 50 and 51 of the Warrant <br /> and replace with the following "11. By moving the text of existing Section 174-55F(2) to <br /> Section 174-55F:(3) and replace Section 174-55F(2) with. the following: (2) Signs may be <br /> illuminated only in the following manner: <br /> (a) externally illuminated or (b�) with a wall-mounted back-lit lettering sign. Any wall-mounted <br /> back-lit sign shall require Design Review comment and review and a Special Permit by the <br /> Board of Appeals. <br /> Motion to amend passes 9:�137 p.m. <br /> Amended motion passes at 9:38 p.m. <br /> Article 39 <br /> 49 <br />
