allows a municipality to file a single grant application but to be eligible for all funding <br /> opportunities that it may qualify for. Mr. Lehrer noted that previously a discussion had taken <br /> place regarding seeking additional funding opportunities under the DLTA for the housing <br /> production plan. Mr. Lehrer reported that there is a new grant program called the Community <br /> Planning Grant which awards up to $75,000. Applications are due in June 2021. He stated that <br /> housing production plans are specifically listed as a fundable category. He felt this could be a <br /> way to supplement the Board's efforts through the comprehensive plan and visioning workshops. <br /> He said there was adequate time to prepare an application if the Board was interested in moving <br /> forward with this. He suggested utilizing the One Stop application for a Community Planning <br /> Grant. He said that he would begin work on this internally and will report to the Board at future <br /> meetings. <br /> Town Seal Committee Update <br /> Mr. Lehrer reported that there will be a press release about the Town Seal in which a survey will <br /> be released and the Town is in the process of procuring the services of a graphic designer. The <br /> Town Seal Committee members produced a short survey in search of symbols or images that are <br /> most important to people that they would like to see depicted on the town seal. This survey will <br /> be offered on social media as well as a Tillable PDF on the town website. The library will also <br /> offer hard copies of the surveys. The survey will be conducted from March 15th—April 15"'. <br /> He asked the Board members to get word out to family, friends and community to participate. <br /> Mr. Hansen asked Mr. Lehrer to provide the meaning of any images or symbols that might be <br /> suggested for the seal. Mr. Lehrer agreed to do so. <br /> BOARD MEMBER COMMITTEE UPDATES <br /> Cape Cod Commission-No report <br /> Community Preservation Committee-Ms. Waygan reminded the Board that Community <br /> Preservation applications are due by April 1 st for consideration at the October town meeting. She <br /> reminded members that the funds can be used for open space, recreation, affordable housing and <br /> historic preservation.
