Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 21, 2020 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Certification of Hiring Process of Police Officers;Nicholas Carpenter, Frederick <br /> Bohnenberger: Police Chief Scott Carling: <br /> Correspondence was received from Police Chief Scott W. Carlin dated December 11, 2020 relative to the <br /> entry level police officer hiring process certification. The top two candidates Frederick Bohnenberger and <br /> Nicholas Carpenter were given conditional offers of employment. Both candidates reside in the Town of <br /> Mashpee and are well qualified for the position conditioned upon the certification of the selection process. <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins recommended approval confirming that all phases of the entry level <br /> process have been completed and are consistent with all policies and procedures established by the Town <br /> of Mashpee and its police department. The Town of Mashpee does its level best to recruit locals including <br /> Native Americans and it is gratifying that both individuals reside within the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to certify the Hiring Process of Police Officers Nicholas <br /> Carpenter and Frederick Bohnenberger as full-time police officers. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Approval of Re-Appointment to the Barnstable County HOME Consortium Advisory <br /> Council (Term expires: January 31 2024): Arden Cadrin: <br /> The three-year term of the Town of Mashpee's representative to the Barnstable County HOME <br /> Consortium's Advisory Council, currently Arden Cadrin is due to expire on January 31, 2021. Ms. Cadrin <br /> has expressed an interest in continuing to serve as Mashpee's representative. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Arden Cadrin as Mashpee's representative to the <br /> Barnstable County HOME Consortium Advisory Council for a term to expire; January 31,2024. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br />
