4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 13, 2021 <br /> Discussion and Approval of Resignation/Appointments_ of the Following: <br /> Resignation: Bylaw Review Committee Member-at-Large (Tenn to Expire: June 30 2025): Margaret Santos: <br /> A letter of resignation was received from Margaret Santos resigning from the Bylaw Review Committee <br /> effective July 31, 2021. <br /> Resignation: Shellfish Commission Commercial Rep (Term to Expire June 30 2024): Stephen Marques: <br /> An additional letter of resignation was received from Stephen C. Marques dated August 27, 2021 resigning <br /> from the Shellfish Commission in the Commercial Representative role. <br /> Request for Six Month Leave of Absence: Environmental Oversight Committee: Andrew McManus: <br /> Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent requested a six month leave of absence from attending future <br /> Environmental Oversight Committee meetings in a letter addressed to the Board of Selectmen dated <br /> September 3, 2021. <br /> The Board of Selectmen took collective action on the above requests as follows; <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the resignation of; <br /> Margaret Santos from the Bylaw Review Committee as a Member-at-Large, and <br /> Stephen Marques from the Shellfish Commission as the Commercial Representive <br /> with regret sending letters of appreciation to the individuals for their service to the Town of Mashpee, <br /> And further to approve the request of Andrew McManus for a leave of absence from the Environmental <br /> Oversight Committee as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br /> Town Manager's Preliminary Report on Field Use at Heritage Park on September 4,2021: <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins updated the Board of Selectmen on the field use at the Heritage Park <br /> recreational facility on September 4, 2021. The event organizers sold alcoholic beverages and left an <br /> extremely unreasonable and unsightly amount of trash on the grounds of the facility. <br /> The acts are unacceptable and clearly a violation of Town Policies for the Use of the Heritage Park Facility, for <br /> the Rules &Regulations for the Use of Town Facilities and for the Use of School Buildings and/or Facilities. <br /> Town Manager Collins discussed the Facility Use Application that was processed at the staff level of the DPW <br /> and not made known to the DPW Director or Town Manager. <br />
