Richard OeGnrgher, Brian Hvde, Rosemary Burns Love, Nancy <br /> Soderberg, and Joan Tavares-Avant(telephoned in) <br /> Commissioner not Present: BhanVVaeden. <br /> Brian Hyde made a motion that the Minutes from August 51h meeting be approved, and it was seconded <br /> by Richard, and they were approved unanimously. <br /> Parsonage <br /> VVe did have Michelle O'Malley come down on September 21mbn see ifvve would be able ho get the <br /> Parsonage, and David VVeeden tacked on the Indian Museum, dated. When we visited the Parsonage, <br /> she went into the basement and said that old beams would allow for the work to be done. One ofthe <br /> sides of the house has completely fallen in from a previous storm, but the Tribe has put in some work to <br /> support the building for safety reasons. David VVeedon said his grandmother lived in the house. <br /> Rosemary feels that it may bo Ebenezer'Attaouin'ahouse. Richard said when they did the renovations to <br /> the Museum, they blew in insulation and re-plastered the ceilings, so the only chance of dating the <br /> museum might be if they could lift up a few of the old floor boards, they might be able to <br /> Schoolhouse <br /> Richard said that they have had a total of 92 visitors to the schoolhouse at the present time. He talked <br /> about a large group of home-schooled students who had planned to come for a tour of the schoolhouse, <br /> but because of Covid-19 restrictions, he asked that they break up into two smaller groups. He informed <br /> them that present restrictions in public buildings require wearing a meek. Richard worked with them as <br /> they were not willing to mask their children, so they may reschedule. <br /> Veterans Monument <br /> Richard and Avocontinue to meet with Wayne and Catherine to make progress on the project. They are <br /> expected to have another meeting nnFriday. Catherine io trying to get a bid from Baker Monuments of <br /> Falmouth, and they will find out if she has received any further information. The plans for the Monument <br /> have been approved, Catherine is now working on the bids for engraving, hopefully to have bids that <br /> come in under the funds available. Richard mentioned that they have two translations of the VVonnpanaak <br /> language, which will have bzbe approved by other Indian Tribes aawell. Richard tried to explain that they <br /> are giving something uoit will have tobeapproved. There are restrictions un reprinting of the language; <br /> |t cannot bocommercialized. <br />
