r ,
I
a
I
The representative from Pimlico heights asked to go on
record complaining that he is being displaced by someone
beyond him in the agenda.
Tony stated that the Beechwood Point matter is an important
issue which must be resolved and stated that explained that ,
the Board attempted to call Pimlico Heights at other '
I
hearings and there was no representative present.
Applicant: Earl Mills, Sr. `
Hearing was continued at this time,
- + I
Robert Mills, Earl Mills, Sr, and Mike McGrath were present. +;,►
Mr. McGrath presented a letter to the Board outlining his
_= position on the engineering for the intersection. ''
Tony asked if they had gotten together with Ernie Virg illio '
to see what technical information he needed as the Board
had asked at the last hearing?
Mr. McGrath stated that when they met with Mr. VirrM{illio on
✓ 'I l I
the grounds, he told him what he wanted and he has accepted
the plan.
He stated that it is a significant amount of work to do
the engineering and he does not believe this subdivision
will burden the intersection that much that it would require
I
that amount of work to be done by the applicant. It
He doesn' t think that private people should be preparing that kind on engineering drawing, it is beyond the scope of
the Board to require it.
Tony explained that it is not the size of the subdivision,
it is the safety issue that must be resolved.
Mr. Earl Mills, Sr. stated to the Board that this issue
started on Sept 10 1987. It started on the wrong foot with
validity of his signature questioned. Then the Board said it
did not appear that he was the record owner of the ro ert
p yr
which was not true. He had a Water Quality report prepared I .
which cost $8, 000 and he has not gotten anything from it. Ito
He stated that every time they have meet with the Board they
I
have been cooperative. They have made changes in the size
II
of the lawns and in the direction of the road and have met
on site. Every time the Board asks for a change to the plan
it costs thousands of dollars. He believes that he, his
lawyer and his architect have been tremendously cooperative.
He explained that he doesn't have the resource of a builder,
`+ he is a private citizens and the land has been in his family
since before
e the time of deeds. It has already cost him
$38 000 and the are not near to an a i
. Y approval yet . He i s
Just trying to parcel back land he inherited to his brothers
and sisters. He understands their position as a Board but
hopes they understand his position also. He was under the h,
impression the plans had been a _. P p approved and a few weeks aao
it was brought to his attention that he had to re--design t.ie
intersection on a state highway. This does not seem to be
r
i
7
