Appropriate and timely notice of a public hearing was <br /> given to abutters and interested parties as defined therein <br /> pursuant to Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 11 <br /> and Section 9 . 383 of the By-Laws, said notice having been } <br /> i <br /> approved by the Board and confirmed by affidavit. No adverse <br /> written recommendations regarding the application were received <br /> by the Planning Board from any town agency pursuant to Section <br /> 9. 383 (b) . An initial public hearing was held by the Board on <br /> November 12, 1986, and at the applicants request, the public <br /> hearing was continued due to the presence of only four members <br /> of the Board . On December 3 , 1986 and January 7, 1987 and <br /> continued <br /> public hearings were held, at which time the Board <br /> received public comments on the application, as well as oral <br /> remarks from the Town engineer and the Town Planning Department <br /> staff . The applicant presented additional engineering data and <br /> plans with respect to those comments . The applicant also <br /> provided the Board with specific information concerning water <br /> quality issues at those hearings . <br /> A final public hearing was held on February 4, 1987, <br /> at which time the applicant submitted a revised site plan to <br /> address concerns voiced by the Board at prior public hearings . <br /> On February 4, 1987, after due deliberation and discussion, the <br /> Board voted 5-0 to issue a Special Permit for the project under <br /> the terms and conditions set forth herein. <br /> IV. THE PROPERTY <br /> The subject property consists of the following four parcels <br /> situated on Great Neck Road and adjacent to the Mashpee River: <br /> -3- <br /> i <br /> NNW <br />
