The Town Planner provided some background information and requested the Board authorize the Consulting Engineer to make an inspection and take pictures of the road to show itscondition; to which the Board agreed. Board Item Review iew f Mashpee Commons 40B Application There was Board discussion with issues of concern being traffic, handicap accessible units, and the absence f a mention of condominium fees . The Assistant Town Planner reported on comments made by the Affordable Housing Committee, there should be f all unit types being offered. It was also recommended that there be no more than 250 total units due to concerns with density. - The Town Planner noted here is no mention of the 42, 000 sq. ft . of commercial development within the 40B, which would be subject to Planning Board special Permit . He considers this to be a serious issue of concern that should be addressed. The Town Planner informed the Board of that portion of the process where comments from Town agencies may be submitted to the Board of selectmen to be forwarded t '1HFA. He has already done so, the Affordable Housing Committee will do the same, he suggested the Planning Board submit a letter into the package as well.. It was the consensus of the Board to instruct the Planning Department to construct a letter expressing Board support of the express concerns outlined in the Demo prepared by the Town Planner. The Chairman inquired if Mashpee Water District has expressed any concerns regarding impacts to the availability of the water supply. F The Town Planner was uncertain, stating there may have been a contractual agreement made at the time of purchase of the Highway Water Company by Mashpee Commons. There being no further Planning Board business to address the Chairman- entertained a motion to adjourn. 2
