The Town Planner interjected stating the existing <br /> gatehouse 'was never permitted. The origin:al approved <br /> subdivision does not show a gatehouse. He suggested this <br /> natter be addressed. Another issue is that the ancient way <br /> has a recorded easement for the residents of theTown of <br /> ashpee. some Town residents have expressed concern that <br /> they will no longer have the right to use the road, and <br /> object to the gate. He also suggested the matter of <br /> vehicle pedestrian use be resolved. Historically, the road <br /> should have: been preserved as- a public way. <br /> Attorney McIlhinney stated the roadway is 8'-ft . wide <br /> and remains open, the public rights stand. There would be <br /> opposition however to use as a throughway to route 28 . <br /> TheTown Planner clarified that the original <br /> i llowbend permitting process treated -this roadway as a. <br /> "public way" requiring Beard of selectmen approval for <br /> relocation, the street names were required to remain the <br /> same. <br /> The Town Planner suggested t'he issue of the gatehouse _ <br /> be resolved a-s it has never been permitted and located <br /> within the street Layout . <br /> Attorney I cI lhi-nney agreed to provide sketches to the <br /> Board, a possible formal .modification for the gatehouse, or <br /> removal thereof. <br /> There being no further Board or public comment, this <br /> matter concluded at p.m. , at which point the Chairman, <br /> Beverly Kane returned to the meeting room to preside over <br /> the remainder of the meeting. <br /> Covenant R61ease <br /> Steve Gemborys <br /> Sarakummit Village subdivision <br /> Bay ridge Subdivision <br /> The Town Planner, determined Applicant was not present- <br /> at the meeting.'
