The Chairman asked Planning Staff about the <br /> possibility of Town adoption of a traffic overlay district <br /> that would prohibit any addition traffic impacts/curb cuts <br /> within t-he defined area, to be put to the voters for <br /> approval. <br /> The Town Planner explained there could be no further <br /> development in order to control traffic, and if property <br /> cannot be developed, taking issues become involved. The <br /> State and DPW control the curb out approvals . <br /> There was some discussion regarding the exemption-s <br /> from a moratorium, as well as the D 1 process and 4 oB <br /> filings . There was discussion. regarding the possibility of <br /> imposing a moratorium through zoning bylaw, designating a <br /> traffic overlay district, while conducting/funding a <br /> comprehensive traffic study. <br /> There was also -discussion regarding State involvement <br /> regarding proposed redesign of the Mashpee Rotary, as well <br /> as available funding/grants from the State.. <br /> The chairman spore to extensions granted to developers <br /> through the DPI DCPC processes. When she inquired, the ccc <br /> informed her that if no objections are raised, said <br /> extensions are generally granted. <br /> The chairman recognized Selectman Don Myers who <br /> thanked the Board Members for providing him an opportunity <br /> over the past few years to learn about the Town of Mashpee <br /> and the governmental process with reference to planning for <br /> the future of. the Town. <br /> He addressed the upcoming joint meeting with the Board <br /> of Selectmen, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Planning Board <br /> discussion regarding the critical road/traffic <br /> issues/concerns. <br /> The chairman expressed her concern regarding the lack <br /> of opport.unity provided for citizen input. She asked Mr. <br /> Ayers about e-mail or website access for the Town., which <br /> would allow citizen interaction. <br /> r. Myers responded the Town would like to provide <br /> internet access/service for this purpose. He has suggested <br /> the Board of Selectmen review Town Hall hours for possible <br /> 10 <br />
