The Chairman suggested the Board authorize her t <br /> write a letter to the Board of Selectmen asking then to <br /> consider requesting a representative from the Collaborative <br /> to appear before them .and explain their. function, support,. <br /> and resources. <br /> MOTION: Lee Gurney made a Motion authorizing the <br /> Chairman to contact the Board of Selectmen in writing, <br /> asking therm t,o. consider inviting a representative from the <br /> Massachusetts Technology -Colla-borative Community Wind <br /> Initiative Program to attend one of their meetings -for the <br /> purpose of providing information; which Motion was duly <br /> seconded by Dennis Bal arini and so voted unanimously. <br /> The Assistant Town Planner advised the Board that the <br /> Town of West Yarmouth has voted to approve a wind bylaw <br /> which states in part, "..According to the new bylaw wind <br /> turbines can only be located on lots of at least ten acres <br /> and must be set back from the lot lime by at lust Soo--ft . <br /> or 11�2 times the height of the turbine. " <br /> Theme was some general Board discussion regarding <br /> noise, wind force, and location issues, as well as <br /> residential and commercial sites . <br /> K e Ribbon Report <br /> The Chairman reported she is unsure about the future <br /> continuation. of some fora of this committee . The Board of <br /> Selectmen has decided to wait until after the May Town <br /> Meeting for any further discussion . <br /> Regarding the- matter of a D P , the Chairman stated <br /> her position that a DCPC will not be established within the <br /> Town of Ma-shpee, or accepted by the Cape Cod Commission <br /> without the support and approval of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Sewer Commission Report <br /> The Town Planner informed the Board that there would <br /> be a formal presentation of the need analysis at the next <br /> Sewer Commission Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, at <br /> oo p.m. There will also be an opportunity for any <br /> interested party to address the wastewater issues . <br /> 10 <br />
