May lots' at Mashpee <br /> Town Hall . <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Review of Proposed Zoning Article Regarding Kennel <br /> Definitions submitted for May 2007 Town Meeting <br /> The appointed hour having arrived the Chairman called <br /> this matter to order and recognized Attorney David Harsch. <br /> Attorney Harsch explained there is a possibility that <br /> he will not be going forward with the other two proposed <br /> articles as a result of a meeting conducted this date with <br /> Mr. Harrington, the Town Planner and the Assistant Town <br /> Planner. <br /> Attorney Harsch did request Planning Board approval of <br /> .the definition portion of the proposed article, stating <br /> there would. be no changes . <br /> There is one minor change under personal kennel (E) , <br /> being three ( dogs, age -months or older, in order to <br /> comply with the state definition of a. kennel. <br /> The Town Planner informed the Hoard that both Mr. <br /> Farrington and Ms. Warden, Board of Health, have no issues <br /> with the proposed change to -dogs, age -months or older. <br /> The Chairman expressed her concern that this proposal <br /> should undergo further review with the Board of Stealth <br /> regulations and enforcement. She suggested further careful <br /> consideration be made and presented for the October Town <br /> Meeting. <br /> There being no further Board/Staff comment, the <br /> Chairman opened discussion to members of the public. <br /> charleen Maxim, Treasurer, cape Cod Kennel Club - <br /> Spole to the varying dog regulations across the country. <br /> She explained that this effort has been ongoing for a <br /> number of years . The Dennis log officer, Cheryl Malone, <br /> has been wording on a stateside level and has been <br /> cooperating with this effort as well . The goal is to <br /> prepare a modern state of the art regulation that will <br /> provide animal control professionals in a township the <br /> ability to regulate issues as they arise and to provide the <br /> 2 <br />
