Meeting; which Motion was duly seconded by Dennis Bal arini <br /> and so voted unanimously. <br /> Discussion - Potential sign Bylaw Amendments <br /> For October 2 ' 7 Town Meeting <br /> The Town Planner provided the most recent draft of <br /> said documents, which reflect changes suggested by the <br /> Consulting Engineer, as well as the Police Chief. <br /> Compliance Required - C. "In order to avoid public <br /> safety problems related to misdirection of emergency <br /> response services, signage should, if possible, avoid <br /> duplication or avoid lake sounding names of properties and <br /> business establishments. " <br /> Required review and permits - A. "All -new signs over <br /> six D square feet..." <br /> Prohibitions -- A. "In order to avoid, in the opinion <br /> of the zoning enforcement officer, a distraction or hazard <br /> to any vehicle operator or pedestrian upon any way, no sign <br /> or display, any part of which is designed intentionally to <br /> move, and -no sign illuminated by or including any flashing <br /> or oscillating light shall be permitted. Strings, banners, <br /> pennants or so-called whirligigs and the like shall be <br /> included in this prohibition, which shall also apply to <br /> window signs, as veined herein. A sign which is designed, <br /> for structural reasons, to align itself with the direction <br /> of the wind shall not be considered a moving sign. " <br /> Commercial and Industrial Districts - G. Illumination, <br /> added language to read, ".Picture framing of building with <br /> lights, except for season-al display, shall not be <br /> permitted. " <br /> There being no further discussion the chairma-n <br /> entertained a motion. <br /> LOTION: Dennis Bal arini made a Motion to authorize <br /> the submission of said Potential Sign Bylaw Amendments f'or <br /> October 2007 Annual Town Meeting, to include the changes <br /> made this evening; which motion was duly seconded by Myrna <br /> Nuey and so voted- unanimously. <br /> 1� <br />
