The Chairman recognized Gail Lopes, who prodded a <br /> Plan of Land entitled, "Site Plan of Lots A & B,, prepared <br /> for Gail and Raymond Lopes, by J.E. Landers-Caul ey, P. E. , <br /> Revised 0 /1 /071f. <br /> . Lopes requested Planning Board approval -of a <br /> common dri-vewa- . <br /> The Town Planner explained that the zoning bylaw <br /> requires a Special Permit -for shared residential driveways. <br /> The Town Planner determined he has not yet received an <br /> approval letter from the Fire Department in this matter. <br /> He has however received an -mail from Barbara Nichols <br /> stating she is unable to attend the meeting, but is in <br /> favor of granting a special Permit to Ms . Lopes for a <br /> common driveway between 25 and 27 Melissa Avenue. <br /> The Town Planner asked about the 1 -ft. wide common <br /> driveway, and the pavement drainage design. <br /> Ms . Lopes replied the width of the driveway is at <br /> least 1 -ft . wide, with approximately 1-ft. of dense grade <br /> hardener. Natural pea stone will be used on the site as <br /> well . <br /> Dennis Bal arini expressed his: desire to read the <br /> statements issued by the Fire Chief in this matter. <br /> The Town Planner stated he would draft a Special <br /> Permit Decision based upon the Beard' s direction for <br /> approval at the next meeting . H suggested that it b <br /> noted in writing on the plan describing how the driveway is <br /> to he constructed, the materials to be used and drainage <br /> contrutin. <br /> r. Rowley inquired as to how much of the road has <br /> been built . <br /> Ms. Lopes replied that the road and circle area has <br /> been constructed. <br /> Mr. Rowley expressed concern for the proposed grading <br /> of parcel B, as it appears to transmit all of the road <br /> drainage/runoff towards the garage. He suggested that the <br /> garage be lifted up so that the surface runoff would be <br /> 4 <br />
