MOTION. Dennis Bal arinl made a Motion to continue the Public Hearings in these two matters -to September 19, 2007, at 7 : 45 p.m. ; which Motion was .duly seconded by Myrna 1uer and so gated unanimously. Public Hearing Cape Southport LL Southport Development-Between Algonquin, Rte. 151, and Old Barnstable Road - Approval of Southport Street Names The appointed hour having arrived the Chairman road the Public Hearing notice into the record and called the Public- Hearing to order. References were made to a revised street name list prepared by Margaret Maillh , representing Applicant. The Chairman determined that there are no street name duplications. There was some discussion regarding the street name "Dogleg Drip " being one or two words. The Town Planner noted that the approved plans indicate the street name as one-word, as well as the deeds and assessor's' records . The -Chairman reed a letter into the record received from Al Engel, 35 Leisure Green- Drive North - "I Irish to shed some light on `Dog Lech' vs . 'Dogleg' . 1 have clone a literature search to support my contention that the intended name for this street is Dogleg Drive. Dogleg ,is a golfing term and has the most logical name for the street since almost all streets in Phase I and Phase II in the Southport development have been given golfing terms for street names . That is Leisure Green Drive North, Rolling Green Drive, Chippers Lane, Pebble Beach Avenue,, Driver Lane, Masters Court, PGA Lane, and Par Three Court, etc. Dogleg. r-ive is also the spelling. listed in the official Southport Telephone Directory. " The Board and Applicant agreed that Dog-leg Drive should be one-ward, Windward Drive should be Windward Street, Iron Path Lame should be Ironwood Path, and Putting Green Point should be Putting Green Path. There being no further Board or Public comment the Chairman entertained a motion to close the Public Hearing. 6
