r <br /> The Town Planner noted the necessary four (4 ) Members <br /> required to sit and hear this matter were not present. <br /> Planning Board Member, Myrna Duey, was not i-n attendance. <br /> MOTION: Lee Gurney made a motion to continue the <br /> Public Hearing in this matter to March 1, 2006 at 7 : to <br /> p.m. ; wh.ich Motion was duly seconded by Dennis Bal arini <br /> and so voted unanimously. <br /> Di cuss ion <br /> Willowbend Road Signs. <br /> The Chairman recognized Donna Bergamo, representing <br /> the Applicant, who provIded a photograph indicating what <br /> the proposed roan signs will look life. <br /> The Chairman noted the original submission indicated <br /> the- street name and public way, there was nQ Wi l lowbend <br /> logo. <br /> Dennis Balzarini commented that "'Wi l l,owbend" on the <br /> sign appears to indicate Willowbend property. The purpose <br /> of the road signs is to clarify "public way" for public use <br /> of the way (through Willorbend property) . He had no <br /> objection however to the appearance of the sign. <br /> John Halachis commented the signs were attractive. <br /> The Chairman stated she feels the Willobend logo <br /> should not be. -shown on the signs, and that they should have <br /> been made to Planning Board specifications as discussed <br /> last year. <br /> There were to have been -signs for Bryants Core Road, <br /> -signs for Simons Road, 4-signs for Quippish Road, and - <br /> signs for Mashpee Neck Road. <br /> The Chairman suggested the proposed signs are <br /> misleading to the public. The purpose of the signs is to <br /> welcome public use on those roads, with a clear <br /> understanding that they have the right to traverse said <br /> roads . <br /> The Chairman .also suggested there be a map on record <br /> for the purpose of sign maintenance in order to avoid <br /> deterioration and to keep track of the public ways . <br /> 2 <br />
