The Chairman provided copies of a newspaper article <br /> entitled, "Cape Gets Creative in Waste Disposal" for Board <br /> review. <br /> He has also had contact from Wes-son & camps n <br /> regarding South Cape. They are submitting a new proposal <br /> as a permanent request to DEP this week. <br /> Board Items <br /> Consulting Engineer - stormwater Report <br /> Mr. Rowley presented his report entitled, ''storm water <br /> Report on Runoff to Mashpee and Santuit Rivers from Public <br /> Nays, prepared for Town of Mashpee Planning Board, dated <br /> May 17, 2006, by Charles L. Rowley & Associates, Civil <br /> Engineers & Surveyors" . <br /> Mr. Rowley provided copies to Board Members and one <br /> for submission to the DPW Director. <br /> Mr. Roney stated that each one of the sites <br /> discharges some sediment off the edge of the road. With <br /> the exception of the old Dill load area on the Santuit <br /> River, none of the sites directly dis harc e any sediment <br /> directly towards the riper or stream. Most of the sites <br /> are located in an area where pared waterways have been <br /> built into the edge of the pavement. rather than a <br /> collection or drainage system. Those sites located on the <br /> ntu-itRiver share a boundary with the Town of Barnstable <br /> le <br /> and would require a cooperative effort in order to properly <br /> address the issues of concern. <br /> References were -made to the following areas <br /> Mashpee River at Route 130 where the waterway runs <br /> directly underneath the walkway and into the ground below, <br /> and the location of runoff. <br /> The two points that were pared waterways located <br /> directly above the herring run, which are now blocked off. <br /> The low point is located underneath the walkway. There i <br /> very little evidence of sedim' ent or erosion below the bank. <br /> . <br /> The receding pond where water flogs from the lank <br /> above,, across the vegetated area and into the retention <br /> pond.
