Public Hearing SM Realty Trust Corner of Main Street and Center Street Modification of Special Permit for Main Street Village Shopping Center The Chairman read the Public Nearing notice into the record and called this matter to order. The Chairman then designated Associate Board member, Hawley Cohen, to sit and vote in this matter. The Chairman recognized Attorney Kevin Kirrane, representing the Applicant, who reminded the Board that they had approved a Special Permit in of May 2'005 for the construction of two 2 commercial buildings on site at the Route 10 location. At that time there had been a variety of uses listed in the application . one of the buildings has been constructed. There is interest in the leasing of the building for use as a Dance Studio, which is not one of the originally requested uses . However, this use is permitted within the zoning district and Applicant is requesting approval to add this particular -use to the Special, Permit. Attorney Kirrane informed the Board that Mr. and Mrs. . Lovely were present at the meeting and available to provided information and answer any questions the Board might have in this regard. The Chairman asked what the dance studio would consist o-f and what type of activity would take place. Amanda Lovely explained .the Studio would be availabie to teach tap, jazz, ballet, modern, and lyrical dance to children and adults. The Chairman asled if dance recitals would be conducted in this space. . Lovely responded, "'No, no recitals at the site, " "We would have to go to a High School . " The Chairman determined that only teaching would be conducted at the site. The Town Planner provided a small plan showing the interior of the space located within the approved building. . 2
