There was discussion as to whether the Board should submit second Petition Article with the appropriate ten signatures for every article submitted. The Chairman expressed her personal opinion that the Board should proceed in the future to back any Planning Board Article submitted to the Board of Selectmen with a Petition of ten to signatures of registered voters. It was the consensus of the Board to agree with this suggestion, relieving Planning Department Staff of any responsibility regarding said Petition Article submission. A court action is pending between the previously elected and newly elected Board of Directors involving the withdrawal of funds to pay for legal fees. Other Items The Town Planner addressed a letter received from the State regarding important new changes to Ch. 40B, proposed regulatory changes, dated August l th, a copy of which has been provided for all Board Members. 'Mere was brief Board discussion with Richard Terry addressed the issue of density, explaining the Affordable Housing Committee would like to try and integrate small numbers of units into the community. The Town Planner clarified 40B relates only to subsidized construction by Federal, State, or local Initiative Programs. The chairman suggested this correspondence be addressed. F � -
