Town of Mashpee <br />Planning Board <br />Minutes of me e t i ng <br />October 2, 202 <br />The Town of Mashpee Planning Board Meeting was called to <br />order in Conference Room 1, Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck <br />Road North, Mashpee, Massachusetts at p.. on Wednesday, <br />October 2. 2002. The Chairman, Beverly Kane, presided. <br />Board Members present: Dennis Bal arini , Vice Chairman; <br />Steve Dolan, Clerk; Beverly Kane, Chairman; Don Myers; and <br />Richard Terry. <br />Also present: Thomas Fudala, Town Planner-; Eric Smith, <br />Assistant Town Planner; and Charles Rowley, Consulting Engineer. <br />quorum being present the Chairman called the Meeting t <br />order. As the first order of business she opened the Public <br />Hearing. <br />Public Hearing <br />zoning Articles for October Town Meeting <br />The Chairman proceeded to -set guidelines for the <br />c ntinu t-ion of the Public Hearing in this matter. She requested <br />all questions and comments be directed to the Chair and cautioned <br />everyone to focus on the Zoning Article. She agreed to allow ten <br />(1 minutes- initially for both the proponents and supporters of <br />this Article; allowing ten 1 minutes for the opponents of the <br />Article; as well as a time period for any interested Town <br />Officials wishing to speak on this matter. <br />At this point, the Chairman recognized the fact that Richard <br />Terror, stepped down from his capacity as Planning Board Member <br />with regard to this matter. <br />For the Record: The Chairman stated she had reeled the <br />following letter from Attorney Dunning at her home address. She <br />requested that in the future any correspondence be directed to <br />the Chair at the Town Hall address. <br />"Regarding Petition Article 22 - Dear Ms. Kane: Furst I <br />would like to commend you on the fain and orderly Hearing which <br />you conducted on Wednesday, September l th. As Chairman of the <br />Barnstable Airport Commission I am very familiar with hotly <br />contested and contentious public hearings and know how difficult <br />it is to conduct a hearing under those circumstances. The <br />purpose of this letter is to clarify the reasons for may objection <br />to the presentation of the above -titled Article 22 by Torn Fuda-la, <br />Town Planner. This is in fact a Planning Board Article which had <br />already failed at Town Meeting. If the Article is worthy of <br />revival it should be by action of the Planning Board itself, and <br />
