i <br /> MCAT I ON: Don Myers made a Motion to continue the Public <br /> Hearing in this matter to : o p.m. ; which Motion was seconded by <br /> Dennis Bal arini and so voted unanimously. <br /> The Chairman then resumed discussion of the Public Dearing, <br /> Industrial Communications and Electronics, Inc. matter allowing <br /> a time period of ten io minutes for conclusion of the <br /> presentation. <br /> Tom Leonard, Antenna site Leasing Manager for Industrial <br /> Communications and Electronics, Inc. who stated they are a <br /> wireless carrier qualifying under CRVS rules which govern the six <br /> major carriers and Industrial Communication and Electronics, Inc. <br /> e explained that the first six maps are carrier identification <br /> maps displayed in the presentation indicated a lack of coverage <br /> areas; the last three coverage maps having been provided by the <br /> various companies, engineering departments Veri on, AT&T, and <br /> exl . <br /> Don Myers inquired as to radius of coverage to be serviced <br /> by the proposed tower; and was told it would be a couple of <br /> miles. <br /> The Chairman recognized a representative from Vex`i on <br /> Wireless, Michael last name inaudible) , who stated they support <br /> both Applications being presented this evening as there is a <br /> compelling need in the Mashpee area for wireless communications. <br /> Also, a generator would be required as part of their installation <br /> requirements. It is his understanding that both Applications <br /> provide for a generator, although it was not indicated on the <br /> Industrial Communications and Electronics, Inc. site plan. <br /> The Chairman then recognized Lou Estaras,, Engineer for <br /> Veri on wireless, in charge of network design. He provided <br /> brief background stating the area being discussed has been <br /> identified as an area of need. Anticipating zoning restrictions <br /> the search area was generally larger than usual . He stated his <br /> intention is to locate at one Industrial Communications and <br /> Electronics, Inc. , Sea Coast, Inc. , and Watts) of the three <br /> facilities . <br /> Attorney Denney stated the Echo Road location ties into the <br /> gap corning down to Route 130 . There is no tower on Echo Road, <br /> should the Watts tower be approved it mould not completely close <br /> the gap between Route 130 and Route 28 intersection, all as <br /> determined by the Cape Cod Commission' s Consulting Engineer, <br /> rendering a need for another tower between the Watts location <br /> and Route 1 /Route 28. Here , there would not be a► need for <br /> the Watts tower if a tower is constructed further to the north <br /> of the proposed Watts project, all as previously discussed at the <br /> Cape Cod C MMi s s ion. <br /> The Town Planer raised FAA issues with reference to the Air <br /> -11- <br />
