Engineering, representing Applicant, who reviewed the changes
made on the plan: moved PayaMps Road to the center line of the
existing Payamps Road; drainage; emergency gate at the end of
Nicholas Way and Payamps Road.
Mr. Sanic i stated he has met recently with the Consulting
Engineer who has asked him to address further a few technical
questions.
Mir. Sanicki feels confident that those concerns can and will
be worked out -to Mr. Rowley r s satisfaction, possible new grading
on the shoulder and more detailed Swale.
Mr. Rowley explained he is concerned with the first section
of the construction where the steepest changes in grade occur, he
requested detail in that area. He felt that the calculations
received did not reflect the fact that there was a substantial
slope that would contribute runoff to the site. He grants to
insure that the swales are large enough. Some calculation
information has been received and reviewed, however he feels
there remains some detail in that area that is lacking with
respect to what shovers on the plan. His concern being for the
contractor who begins construction and is unsure as to how t
carry it out. Also, there are some intermediate leaching pits
within the swale areas that have tops located Very close to the
finish grade of the road, without the definition of the swales
there is concern the swales could possibly build up and flood
the road before reaching the leaching pit.
r. Rowley mentioned some work that has been done, distance
between catch basins and the install tion of manholes where
necessary to insure there would be no curvature in the pipe.
Mr, Rowley suggested he and Mr. Sanicli clarify some of
these issues, make the contours a little more defined, and show
that the swales located on the side of the goad are better
defined for the benefit of the contractor.
The Town Planner raiseda concern for the issue of the
entrance and the Country Club driveway. The road designs do not
reflect the location of the driveway being so close to the
entrance.
References were being made to the plan. Mr. Rowley noted
the indication for a 20 f t. vide road to be built within Bryant' s
Road, a detail for an emergency gate across Nicholas way.
The Town Planner suggested the Board could Vote subject to
the Consulting Engineer' s letter, and subject to approval of
driveway layout, N, . Station o plus 50, to be shown on a revised
plan.
There being no further Board discussion, the Chairman
- .
r
t
