Forty-five (45%) percent of the housing units <br /> 1'10 in Town are occupied during the winter months . The population <br /> more than doubles in the summer months. As a result, the Town is <br /> considered to be extremely seasonal . There are projected to be <br /> very few seasonal homes built in Mashpee over the next twenty <br /> (2 0) years. The tax base for the support of schools, <br /> etc. is expected to be an on-going problem.
